In this case the patient had an increased gap between upper and lower teeth because the upper front teeth were leaning too far forward. This patient had extraction of one tooth on each side in the upper arch to provide space to correct the front teeth.

This patient had an increased gap between upper and lower teeth because upper teeth were leaning too far forward and the lower jaw was too far back. The patient wore a functional appliance to help the lower jaw grow more favourably followed by fixed appliances to align the teeth. No extractions were required.

Deep Bite - Complex Case
This patient presented with a complex combination of problems. His upper front teeth were leaning very far back, he had a deep bite and his lower jaw was also too far back. His treatment was done in 3 separate stages to correct the upper front teeth with a removable appliance, correct the lower jaw position with a functional appliance and finally line up the teeth with fixed appliances.

In this case the upper teeth were leaning a little backwards and the upper jaw was somewhat narrow. The patient wore a removable appliance initially to push the upper front teeth forward followed by fixed appliances to align the teeth.

This adult patient presented with crowding and a deep bite. Treatment was carried out with an initial upper removable appliance to correct the deep bite followed by fixed appliances with cosmetic brackets on the upper front teeth to complete treatment without extractions.

This adult patient had a congenitally missing upper left lateral incisor tooth. She wore fixed appliances to align the rest of her teeth, correct crossbites of side teeth and open space for replacement of the missing lateral incisor with an implant and crown. The appearance of her teeth was much more balanced and pleasing after treatment.

This patient presented for treatment when the jaws had finished growing and the lower jaw was too far back. Therefore it was necessary to move the lower jaw forward with a surgical operation while correcting the teeth with fixed appliances.
